Why we do what we do
Our Mission
We believe the family is the most powerful force for change in the world. Not governments. Not movements. Families.
What we see happening
Families Are Drifting — and We Think It's Time to Pull Them Back
Brian and Dee have watched the world shift in ways that concern them deeply. Families that used to eat together, talk together, and navigate life together are increasingly disconnected — from each other and from the values that once held them together. Outside voices have grown louder, and the family's voice inside the home has grown quieter.
They believe that parents — not institutions, not outside systems — are the rightful guides in their children's lives. Kids need direction. They need wisdom they haven't yet earned through experience. And that wisdom has to come from somewhere. When parents are present, engaged, and intentional, children have the anchor they need to make good decisions. When that connection is missing, something else fills the void.
Living the Love Story exists to help families reclaim that role. To strengthen the bond between parents and children. To put the dinner table back at the center of family life — where real conversations happen, values are passed down, and the next generation learns what it means to love well and live with purpose.
What We Believe
The family is the foundation of everything
Every community is made up of families. When families are strong — connected, intentional, loving — communities become stronger. And strong communities change the world.
Ordinary moments are the most important ones
The big retreats and milestone events matter. But the real work happens in the car, at the table, in the hallway before bed. We help families make the most of those moments.
You can only control your reaction
Doing nothing is a choice. How you treat someone is a choice. Your reaction is the only thing you can always control — and it's enough to change everything around you.
Love is a daily decision
Feelings come and go. Commitment is what remains. We celebrate the families who choose — again and again, in the small things — to love on purpose.
“Strong families build strong communities — and strong communities change the world.”
Meet Brian & Dee
The People Behind the Mission
Brian and Dee are 53 years old and have lived enough life to know what's at stake. They've worked directly with teenage girls in a mental health group home — sitting with them in their hardest moments, listening to stories that never should have gotten that far. They've walked alongside a suicidal niece. And right now, they're watching a 17-year-old niece navigate decisions that no teenager should be making alone.
That's not abstract to them. It's personal. And it's exactly why they believe so strongly that when parents are present and connected, children have a fighting chance. When that connection breaks down — when kids are left to figure it out on their own or guided by voices that don't love them — the consequences are real. Brian and Dee have seen it up close, and they refuse to look away.
